What would make a successful EuroBasket for da Silva, Bitadze?

Franz Wagner is expected to star at Eurobasket. For Tristan da Silva and Goga Bitadze the goal is to fill their roles and show consistency for their teams.

Tristan da Silva got his introduction to international basketball and made his debut for Germany in their 106-76 win. It was undoubtedly a big moment for him and another feather in his cap.

But there was also a job to do. Germany had to win this game and get off on the right foot. And that was not a guarantee through the first half as Germany struggled to hit threes through the first half.

Da Silva is still in his first time donning the national team jersey. It is still clear he is finding his footing.

On one play, literally da Silva gave up his footing, falling to the floor to rescue a loose ball and save a possession. Da Silva is still finding his footing everywhere, it seems.

That is the big thing for da Silva.

He is in the rotation. He gets his time on the floor -- he played 20 minutes, aided by the blowout the game became after Germany snapped to attention in a 33-12 third quarter. But it still feels like he has something of a quick hook.

Da Silva is still looking to get his feet under him.
