Orlando Magic seek to pick up their pace to get offense moving
The Orlando Magic put a focus on their movement and energy as they tried to pick up the pieces after their blowout loss on Tuesday.
The Orlando Magic had to do a lot of soul-searching in the hours and day after their 122-82 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
Coach Jamahl Mosley said it plainly that the team did not play Orlando Magic basketball and promised the team would get back to work. At this point in the season, teams rarely practice hard, trying to preserve bodies for games and the critical stretch ahead.
The Magic did not have time for that. Things had clearly escalated to an emergency, and they had to get on the court to try to correct them.
"There's a sense of urgency and a sense of disappointment and embarrassment over how we played," Mosley said. "I go back to exactly what I said yesterday. You give Cleveland a ton of credit for the way in which they play and how they executed and how they knocked shots down. You have to take that as the one game and you see what happened and make sure that does not happen again because we are prepared the right way and we understand exactly what we need to do moving forward."
