The constant refrain from Orlando Magic players when they are asked about Anthony Black is how much they encourage him to be aggressive.

They want the second-year guard to try to get downhill and get to the basket. They know that when the 6-foot-7 guard has his eyes on the basket and is playing quickly, few players can slow him down or stop him.

It is getting him to that point that has always been a struggle. Black is still gaining confidence in every aspect of his game.

Some nights he looks like a blazing blur going to the basket, finishing through contact and putting pressure on the rim with his ball-handling.

On other nights, he is completely invisible. He is not really looking for his shot, standing in the corner where he is not effective and unable to contribute.
